Stare at life and life stares back

I sit in my living room
Staring at the 84'in flat panel screen
The light blue hues
The surround sound
So tranquil
So serene
I stare at it for a while
Hoping to see my life play out before me
But all I see is the vastness of the sky
The limitless dreams
The infinite imagination
They seem to tell me something
I stare at it somemore
Squinting my eyes
Straining my ears
Hoping to see what life has in store for me
And then I realize no one figures that out
Just by staring at the sky

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." 2 Thessalonians 3:10

So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun. Ecclesiastes 8:15

So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him? Ecclesiastes 3:22

And so I got up, got out, and went back to work.
